Classroom Descriptions

Infants ( 6weeks to 12months) Ratio 1:4

In our Infant class each little one has his/her own eating and sleeping schedule. With this in mind we cater to each child's needs while providing stimulating interaction that fosters each child's emotional and physical growth. Our infant program is designed to make each little one feel safe, secure, and loved. Our infant room staff is knowledgeable in age appropriate activities and milestones that your baby needs. Your baby will receive one on one bonding time with their caregivers, floor activities to help foster developing gross motor skills, story time to begin language development and introduction to music.

Wobblers (12-24months) Ratio 1:4

Our Wobbler classroom is a happy, nurturing environment where each child is encouraged to explore and develop new skills at their own pace. Equipment and toys are safe and age appropriate for them. The room arrangement satisfies individual needs by allowing space for eating, sleeping, playing and socializing. Curriculum concepts are taught at an introductory level with plenty of flexibility for shorter attention spans. Projects are fun and messy, yet still meaningful.

Young Toddlers (24 months) Ratio 1:4

Our Toddler curriculum is designed for curious minds and active little bodies. We understand that during this time of peak early development, two year-olds need secure environments and stimulating experiences. In small classroom settings, our skilled teachers fill your child’s daily routine with a host of engaging activities: arts and crafts, imaginative play, language, rhyming, and counting. Regularly making independent choices and working with a group of peers helps your child gain the strong cooperation skills and confidence necessary for success in preschool and beyond.

Toddlers  (2.5 year olds) Ratio 1:5 ( Available at our Canby and Tigard Locations)

We know that 2 ½ year olds have many interests and are starting to investigate the widening world by experimenting with their developing use of language and social skills. Our program provides activities to help the children in the Toddler class become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, the children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. This age is a time of enormous educational strides in language, social skills and problem solving. Our program promotes this development by offering a rich variety of projects and activities that build upon established foundations for learning while focusing on advancing language ability, mathematical reasoning, and science. Our curriculum provides opportunities for children to develop independently. We also use  learning centers that offer guided experiences to encompass all the skills and understanding necessary for development and academic success.

Preschool  ( 3 yrs old) Ratio 1:10

We have developed a happy, safe environment that makes learning fun and builds confidence, instilling a love of learning in each child.  Social, emotional, and intellectual growth occur quickly at this stage and it’s important to surround your child with positive learning opportunities. Our preschool program is designed to stimulate your child’s curiosity and train him or her to learn effectively and confidently.  Our preschool curriculum uses rhymes, stories and hands-on activities to encourage those first steps toward building the foundational skills for reading, writing, math, and science. Social awareness is also an important stage of development for children at this age. We encourage our preschoolers to respect and be kind and considerate of others, to listen and to follow instructions.

Pre-K (4 yrs old) Ratio 1:10

Our Pre-K program pairs your child's natural talents and curiosity with skilled teachers who will help them to be all they can be.  Early reading and math skills, science and nature concepts, artistic and creative expression are just a few of the things we love to teach. Our learning centers are more academically structured at this age as we prepare your child for kindergarten.

Kindergarten Readiness (5 yr old) Ratio 1:10 (Available at our Canby Location)

In the Kindergarten Readiness Class your child will deepen their knowledge in language, math, science, and social skills. We meet every child where they are, so children of all abilities will learn at their own pace, in their own way. Your 5 year olds mind is ready for simple addition, subtraction, and science predictions! That’s why we build the cognitive skills they need for math and science. The class practices resolving conflicts with words on their own or with a teacher’s help. We also teach kindness and respect by helping kids talk about themselves and their families, so they learn to appreciate each other’s differences and similarities. We work with the Children to tell stories with a beginning, middle, and end. We practice writing as a form of expression, whether your child can write words like their full name or is still working on the first letter of their name. Creative expression really comes alive at this age.  Kids can express themselves with all the art mediums, follow multi-step directions while moving around, and play instruments while making up songs!

School Age   Ratio 1:15

Our school age program offers before and after school care.  We offer time to complete homework assignments with teacher help, unwind and relax with art projects, outside time and free play for the school age children to unwind after a long day of learning at school .
